The North Wales Cancer Patient Forum, in partnership with Awyr Las, the North Wales NHS Charity, is organising a networking day to bring together cancer support groups from across the region. The event will take place on Thursday October 13th 2016 at the Oriel House Hotel, St Asaph.
A representative from the Cancer Patient Forum said:
“This is the first event of its kind for North Wales and will provide a great opportunity for Cancer Support Groups to come together, to share examples of good practice and learn from the challenges that such groups may face.
As increasing numbers of people are living with cancer, self-help and support groups represent a valuable resource in helping people to manage the practical and emotional impact of a cancer. We hope that our event will help all of the Cancer Support Groups in North Wales to grow and develop”.
New Chief Executive for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Gary Doherty, is hoping to attend part of the day, welcoming an opportunity to hear firsthand, the views and experiences of people affected by cancer in North Wales.
The event is free but booking is essential.
